I grew up watching Hogan's Heroes. In my teens I had this elaborately constructed fantasy epic in my head where Hogan and his men get called out to line up in the snow to 'meet' Klink's new 2iC, a war hero who's invalided out and recovering from wounds - who turns out to be Hogan's old lover - they lived together in Paris in the '30's.
